How good was Henderson last season? His 2.65 Earned Run Average (ERA) was the fifth lowest of all-time, trailing only fellow Opening Day starters Kevin Brown (1.89 in 1996), Jose Fernandez (2.19 in 2013), Josh Johnson (2.30 in 2010) and Dontrelle Willis (2.63 in 2005) for the best in club history.
